Love love love this print. It’s amazing.  I can’t wait to see my husband’s face when he sees it. ❤️❤️❤️

I don’t know if you are like me, but the last few years have been challenging!  Obstacles and changes I never could have planned for.  When it looked the darkest, things turned out brighter for me but not necessarily the same for others.I had a great corporate job Monday through Friday and was a part time photographer doing headshots and portraits.  When covid shut the world down, life changed. I was laid off from my career and had to reinvent myself into something I never would have done without events outside of my control.  My wife and I decided we had enough of sitting in the house hiding from a virus, so we took off and traveled out west for an adventure.   With no plan, it was as if divine intervention took over and soon we found ourselves in the middle of a wild horse management area in Wyoming. I was at a point where I had no idea what my future held. I was watching this horse as he was walking toward me and I felt a special bond with him. You see he is an older stallion who, after years of fighting to stay in his herd, was finally kicked out of his herd.  His scars and eyes were too much for me to ignore.  I felt if he could live and survive out here in this inhospitable landscape - and actually thrive in it - so could I in my own environment. It was a source of strength and encouragement for me to watch one of God’s creations thriving on this land doing what God made him to do.  For this reason, I named this piece The Warrior.

Maybe your life has changed. I am now a full time photographer. Blessings often come during difficult times.

We all have times of challenge and pain. Maybe you are not sure what your future holds. Maybe you have been kicked out of your herd.  Maybe, like this horse, you don’t know how you or someone you know is going to handle life’s challenges.

This picture has been sold to many people who connected with the story for their own lives, and many have been purchased for loved ones as a source of encouragement. It has been an encouragement for those going through severe illness and loss.

I have sold this picture for as much as $800.00 on a large acryllic print. My usual cost for this on a canvas is $175.00 for a 20x30.  But I want you to have this 5 x 7 photo for the small amount of $4.99 for printing,  shipping and handling.

Tim West is a photographer and digital artist. His editing style causes the frequent question, “Is that a painting or a picture?”.

Having been a part time portrait and headshot photographer in the Nashville area for over 10 years, his life changed when the world shut down due to covid. After being laid off from his corporate  job, Tim stumbled into the world of wild horses in the west. And the rest is history.  “I never thought or had any intention of photographing anything other than people, but extreme times call for change and I just fell in love with the strength and ruggedness of these amazing creatures.”

Tim still does headshots and portraits for his clients, but travels as often as he can to the high desert in Wyoming and Colorado, taking photos and coming home to process them. “I use every tool available to me to place the horse in its best light and transport the viewer into the horse’s location. One of the most common things I hear from people is they wish they could go out west and find some of these horses and sit and watch them for a while.  I think that’s what drives me to expose people to their beauty and survival.”
